Library & multimedia libraries
Grasse’s library and multimedia library network (Bibliothèques et Médiathèques) is home to a vast and varied range of public reading and media consumption opportunities available at several area locations.
There are three neighborhood multimedia libraries in addition to the main La Villa Saint-Hilaire location : Plan de Grasse, Saint Jacques, and the Gare (by the SNCF train station). These offer multimedia collections for everyone, regularly expanded with new additions.
A shuttle service lets you reserve documents from any site and have them made available at the site of your choice. You can then return the documents to any site within the network, regardless of where you borrowed them. There are cultural activities regularly scheduled throughout the network for both adults and younger audiences.
Home, Garden, & Landscape Resource Center
La Villa Saint-Hilaire, formerly the municipal library, is now a Home, Garden, and Landscape Resource Center which was officially unveiled on May 29, 2015.
The content, book, media, and educational selection focuses on the individual relationship between man and nature, dovetailing heritage and public reading opportunities.
This library is organized in sections – Landscape and Region/Garden/ Home/Lifestyle – and can satisfy younger groups (ages six and up), as well as adults and university-level academics.
You can also reserve documents found elsewhere in the network and retrieve them at La Villa Saint-Hilaire.
